At the bottom of the page, you can find the Schedule of WAC 25, along with a Visual Table indicating the time and location of each walkshop. Please note that the Schedule may be subject to minor adjustments during WAC 25. Updates will be posted here regularly, as well as on the Encounters’ social media platforms.

3 July 2025:

Walkshop Updates

The meeting point for Cinemawalking: tracking shots are a question of morality by Jeffrey SKOLLER (THU 3/7, 18:30) is at the Pottery Centre (Psarades). Participants are encouraged to bring their smartphones and any other video recording equipment they have available.
The meeting point for To the Homeland by DOMUM COLLECTIVE (SAT 5/7, 9:00) is in Laimos square.

2 July 2025:

Walkshop Updates

2 x 4 by Yannis ZIOGAS (WED 9:00) is postponed until further notice due to technical issues.
Walking “community” into being by Leslie SALZINGER will be starting in Agios Achilleios footbridge at 11:45 (WED).
Constellation GIGACIRCUS: Meeting on WED 2/7 17:00 at “Eklekti Gi” Café in Psarades. Cars will be organised for a visit to the installation Migrating Voices in Pyli Information Center. The installation is 500 m away from Ag. Achilleios, where Walking Notes by Kamau WARE will be taking place (17:00–19:30), so Constellation GIGACIRCUS will wait for everyone there for a quick visit (30 minutes) after 19:30.

1 July 2025:

Walkshop Updates

Anna PANGALOU, The Breathing Body_Prespes (Τετάρτη, 2/7 9:30): The location of the walkshop has changed to Psarades (Old Elementary School) instead of Pyli (Zachariadis Cave).
Due to an unexpected event, there is a change of plans for Peter SCHREUDER’s walkshop A play field made by walking; the artist will be available on WED 9:30 at Psarades (Pottery Centre) to discuss details.
Ioulitta STAVRIDI’s Rizikarja (FRI 4/7, 19:00–20:30 & SAT 5/7 5:45–7:45) will be taking place in Agios Germanos.

29 June 2025:

Walkshop Updates

Molly WAGNER, Rename the Place: Change in date: From WED 2/7 9:30–11:30 to TUE 1/7 9:30–11:30 (same location).
Evita VOUDOURI – Alexandros HADJITIMOTHEOU, Home is where I am [Psarades]: This installation will be available throughout the entirety of WAC 25.
Along with Faye TZANETOULAKOU and Yiannis MITROU, Maria CHARELA and Maro THEODOSIOU will also be presenting the walkshop Walking the Line of Memory: Alive in Resistance on WED 2/7 19:00–20:00.
Part IV of Walking as Resistance: The Ritual of the Repeated Walk by Vasiliki STASINAKI is to take place in Lefkonas instead of Psarades.
Part I of Rizikarja by Ioulitta STAVRIDI on FRI 4/7 will begin at 19:00 instead of 19:30.
Herman BASHIRON MENDOLICCHIO will be available for Walking Conversations around Walking Arts Practices throughout the entirety of WAC 25 (Psarades, hours TBD upon contact with the artist).

Paper Updates

Dimitrios MAKRIS and Maria MOIRA, From the Natural – Static and Mobile Observatories on THU 3/7 12:15–13:15 is cancelled.
The following amendments have been made to the first four sessions of THU 3/7:
- Walking as Resistance, moderated by Clare QUALMANN, has been moved to Room 2.
- Walking … home, moderated by Yannis ZIOGAS, has been moved to Room 1. Additionally, the following papers have been moved from this session:
  - Georgia MAVROUDI, An Urban Songline for the Lost and Found
  - Katerina ZYRPIADOU & Ismini KALOUPI, Kalamia, Walking towards
    These papers will now be presented in the next session, moderated by Clara GARI.

- Walking as a feast, moderated by Clara GARI, has been renamed to Walking … home (Part II). It now includes the following papers:
  - [same as before] Lise BRENNER, Walking in Context: the Choreography of NYC Communities
  - [moved from prev. session] Georgia MAVROUDI, An Urban Songline for the Lost and Found
  - [moved from prev. session] Katerina ZYRPIADOU & Ismini KALOUPI, Kalamia, Walking towards

- As Part II of the walkshop Anthropocene Nature by Panagiotis LEZES, a short presentation will take place at the closing of session Walking as healing, moderated by Faye TZANETOULAKOU.
